Playing Williams Little Chief (1975)
The Little Chief is a game with an Native American theme.
Little Chief himself is adorning the backglass as well
as a scene of an American Indian camp.
The game is a four player and features High Score
Replays as well as Same Player Shoots Again and
Replay Specials.
Two rollovers, 'A' and 'B' are made atop the playfield
or by making the flipper return lane. They both Advance
the Bonus by 1,000 points. Making both 'A' and 'B' opens
a Gate which returns the ball to the Ball Shooter Lane
and collects the Bonus. Therefore you can really make
high scores! When making the Gate, you collect the Bonus
and it resets to Zero, all Specials stay LIT,
the Gate closes, 'A' and 'B' rollovers reset, and you play
the ball again!
Making the Kicker Hole located in the very center of the
playfield the first time gives you a Double Bonus.
Specials are made by Making the Kicker Hole. This
Kicker advances the Bonus and advances through
numbers 1 to 6 located in front of the Kicker Hold.
Making '5' lights the Same Player Shoots Again at
the side Out Lanes, Making '6' lights the Replay
Special at a Rollover Lane located on the right side
of the playfield near the Bumpers.
Between the 'A' and 'B' Rollovers atop the playfield is
a center rollover. This one lights up when 'A' and 'B'
are Made. When Lit this Center Rollover awards Double
Bonus as well as Advancing (by one) the Kickout Hole
Lights 1 through 6.
The top of the playfield is fairly wide open, there is a
ramp on the left side of the playfield which features 3
rollover buttons, 2 score 1,000 points and the one in
the middle advances the Bonus. The trick to making
all 3 rollovers is to send the ball up or down the ramp
at a good speed so it hugs the rail.
To summarize, this game plays very fast and requires
alot of skill shots off the flippers to make the
Kicker Hole and Gate, Also the Replay Rollover
is not as easily made as it seems.
